Thought on Pettigrew getting away in POA

Ok, fans. Professor T here. Recently I decided to re-read the whole series over from the being. I just finished POA and I must say there is something that has always bugged me. The whole Pettigrew getting away thing. Why would they just bind an Animungus up with rope (especially one that turns into a rat)? I would think there being 2 full grown very talented wizards (one's that know how small Pettigrew is as a rat) and a very talented student witch they would have use Petrificus Totalus on pettigrew so he couldn't transform and get away. Just my thought on that.

Big update and, A momentous milestone

Hello all yes I will say again I know it's been a very long time since a post but what can I say life gets busy. So here is a nice long update for you to make up for it a bit. Ok so first bit of news is of course the HUGE news that Harry Potter has been pushed back to a summer release in 2009. Now there is an upside to this being that we won't have as long to wait between the 6th movie and the 1st part of the 7th but... come on WB what the duck?! ok back on topic B no rants today. WB has sited reasons such as they didn't feel like they would be able to give it ample enough buildup, that families would be disturbed by the fact that Dan Radcliffe is appearing naked around that time in Equus blah blah blah. Most fans are under the impression that it is just wanting to bank on the "Summer Blockbuster" idea. I often wonder if WB asks anyone before they make there decisions I think not because if they had I would hope that that person would say something to the effect of "It's Harry Potter! you could release it in February and you will still make a fortune!" then smack them on the back of the head. So the new release date is July 19th 2009 which gives us just over a year between the 6th and 7th movies.
On to a topic that I'm not sure I believe for a couple of reasons. Dan Radcliffe has said in an interview that he will be appearing naked in the next Harry Potter film. Ok so on to the reason's I don't really believe this. 1. I have read the Harry Potter books umpteen times and can't think of a single place that he could get naked. 2. The movie would be rated R and I seriously doubt that WB would let that happen. If you want to read the story the link is below.

Ok next topic this September will mark 10 years since Harry Potter's release date. Wow I can't even believe this amazing beyond amazing book has only been in the world since 1998. Well we all know how it's changed our lives so lets remember to be grateful for JK and her amazing characters and world. Just keep swimming! Professor B

Harry Potter prequal announced

J.K. Rowling made the announcement this week that she has written a prequal to the Harry Potter series, although it is unclear whether the boy wizard will make an appearence in the book it is sure to be a great book worth reading. Answer to queston/glad to be back

Oh my gosh can i just say i am excited to be blogging again i have missed it and i hope it keeps going. ok now that thats out of the way, to respond to Professor T's question, i believe that the movie should be split at the part where Ron leaves the group. That to me makes the most sense because it's where the book shifts before that part the book its really pretty calm but after that its like "boom boom swerve jab" all action basically all the time. I honestly though don't even care I just want it to COME NOW. but no the first part doesn't even come out until may 2010 at least we have the sixth movie to keep us company until then. Where do you thing they'll split it?

We are very excited that the powers that be have decided to split Deadly Hallows into 2 movies and Can't wait to see both!

We want everyones thoughts and opinions about where they think they will split Deadly Hallows! Where you think the first movie will ending leaving us all awaiting impatiently for out next Potter fix! We have our theories as to where the cliffhanger will occur and would love to hear yours. So Where do you think the cliffhanger will occur and why? We Can't wait to read your thoughts. We are planning a poll on the most common cliffhanger spots and have everyone vote on which one they like the best. Then await with bated breath to see if which theory is correct.

THERE ARE NEW DETAILS COMING IN ABOUT THE RELEASE OF THE 5TH MOVIE. RELIEBLE (ACCORDING TO MUGGLENET) ARE SAYING THAT THE RELEASE DATE FOR THE MOVIE IS GOING TO BE DECEMBER 15TH. I CANT WAIT BUT I WISH IT DIDNT TAKE SO LONG TO GET HERE.

Interview with Daniel Radcliffe

Q: Did you go straight to the epilogue when the new Harry Potter book came out?
Daniel: I did indeed. No, I didn’t go straight to the epilogue, that’s what my grandmother does.

Q: What did you think of the final Harry Potter book?
Daniel: In terms of the ending of the book, I was thrilled. Has anybody not read the seventh book – okay, cool, I was very, very pleased because I basically get the best of both worlds, because I get the scene of my demise and also I get to live on after that, which is any actors’ dream, you get to die and then you get more screen time, it’s fantastic.

Q: Are you filming now?
Daniel: I start ‘6’ in 10 days.

Q: Any special preparations, special iTunes list?
Daniel: Not yet, but I’m sure I will before we start filming.

Q: Can you talk about where you were reading the book and what you were experiencing as you were reading it?
Daniel: Totally. There’s a quote, I’m not going to take this interview down too pretentious a route though this next bit but there’s a quote from Chekhov when he wrote to the woman who was the final love of his life, who he later married and I think died with, not that she died but he was with her when he died, and he addresses a letter to her and he says, ‘Hello, the last page of my life.’ Which seemed very appropriate to me reading this book, because he has been such a part of my life now, I’ve been with him through all my teen years, and you were suddenly aware that – I started reading it, it was wow, this is the last time I will take a journey with this character, and it was quite a special moment, and actually while reading the final chapters I was listening to Sigur Ros which was very, very appropriate actually, it really, really was, God I’d love them to do a song for one of the films, they’d be absolutely fantastic.

Q: Were you thinking about it as you were reading it, oh my God this book is amazing, and it’s going to be such a good movie?
Daniel: I was thinking, how are we going to make it into a movie? It’s going to be tough, but that’s why someone cleverer than me adapts them. I think if we get it right, which I’m confident we will, it should be amazing.

Q: Have you read the script for Half-Blood Prince yet?
Daniel: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Q: Have they adapted that book well, they have to cut them down so much.
Daniel: They have to. Obviously things have taken out, but everything that drives the story forward is very much in place.

Q: And you’re doing a play right after you finish Half-Blood Prince?
Daniel: There’s a little gap and hopefully if I can find another film to make than that would be really cool, but if not, yeah I might actually rest.

Q: A lot of people read the book in one or two days, did you feel you needed to read it quickly so someone didn’t spoil it for you
Daniel: Weirdly I didn’t. I was at a cricket match when it came out, so I didn’t really start reading it properly. I read the first 30 pages one night, and then said, ‘Right, I’m not going to pick it up again until I’ve got proper time to really have a go at this book.’ And actually no one spoiled the ending for me, I thought they would. I thought someone was going to shout it out what happened. But the brilliant thing about it actually – she sort of made it spoiler proof, because even though if someone does say what state Harry ends up in, you don’t know the half of it which is pretty impressive. When I finally did get to read it I did read it in about a day and a half just because I didn’t put it down.

Q: A lot of people thought Alfonso Cuaron did such an amazing job of the third movie and he’s talked about he’d be willing to come back to the franchise, would you like to have him back for book seven.
Daniel: It’s a very interesting question. I loved working with Alfonso, so I don’t want this to be misinterpreted in the slightest, but I really love working with David Yates. Who knows if he’ll do book seven. But also I think to be honest it’s really nice to have new directors come on board. Who know, it’s a long way off, book seven, it depends if David is willing to do it, I don’t know if he will be, it’s a long way off so I don’t know at the moment. But I would love to work with him (Alfonso) again in the future, I don’t know if Potter will be the place where that happens.

Q: You’re okay with Yates coming back for book seven:
Daniel:If he wanted to, yeah totally.

Q: Did you have a good 18th birthday party?
Daniel: I had fabulous 18th birthday party, thank you very much.

Q: We didn’t hear anything about it.
Daniel: Good.

Q: Do you have any great summer memories?
Daniel: This summer was pretty good, because I got to go to Lords for my birthday.
