KNEW he was GOOD!!!
I Knew Snape was GOOD!! I think how he died was pretty lame though. He is this powerful, very smart and intellegent Wizard and Voldermort just sneak up on him and kills him. Snape has been watching his backside for all of those years only to have Voldermort get the drop on him. I really cannot see that happening. I knew he would died, but in a way that was just I don't know......I thought it would be more of a battle to take him out or he would died protecting someone... I was very disappointed....

agree 110% about snape's death not dramatic enough although the cage going over his head was pretty sweet. he should have gone out fighting not begging for mercy. i think that in some ways he was very brave but just like voldemort he was afraid of death. maybe he was afraid of seeing lily again.
I think he couldn't wait to see Lily again. But I think he knew if Lily would have wanted him to live and not rush his death. I think he was worried that she would have be angry with him about Voldermort and a lot worried that he wasn't doing enought to protect Harry. That he had failed her in that Harry was a target and in so much danger and had gotten hurt and had been threw so much. That he had failed to protect him from it or stop it from happening. Which is why he was willing to risk his life by putting himself in grave danger.
I think that overall lily would have been happy with what snape did for harry. I would imagine there would be some anger at first on lilys part about the whole prophecy thing, but lily doesnt seem like a person who would hold anything against a person. especially when she knows that he never intended to hurt them.
